This is Nick trying to catch some raindrops from under his umbrella on the stairs in front of our old house. I added a rain effect to this picture since you really couldn't see it in the original photo.

Yeah, I'd like to say we went scuba diving, but we didn't. This picture was taken at the ocean side aquarium. |

My Passion
Since grade school, I have had a great passion for art. In high school I was awarded a Scholastic Art Award - Golden Key, the highest honor in competition at that time for a silver point drawing of, what else, roses. This piece hangs in my parent’s home. I have created several pieces in different mediums from bronze casting, jewelry, lapidary, pencil, silver point and calligraphy just to mention a few. I revisited calligraphy in the spring of 2002 to address my nephews wedding invitations, which was quite gratifying. My two oldest boys also share this 'gift' in their own way. Jake is taking graphical arts classes and has always been the creative one. Gregg has had some of his artwork published in book for middle school art teachers. Now on to photography.

I started with one bird in the picture and "cloned" him. I think the colors came out very vivid. There is really no meaning to this - I just liked the bird!

The open air malls in Hawaii were filled with fountains and tropical flowers and fish |
|
|
The surfers in the water at sunset looked like little sharks! Here I caught a board without a surfer. It was difficult to catch one riding the waves - although I did manage to. |

Roses are my favorite subject, as well as other flowers. I really enjoyed these roses, which were given to me by my dear friend Ginny on my birthday. |

This is actually a photo of a flamingo that I took in Florida. I took the picture apart in layers by color, then put it back together. |

This photo was taken at Lake Summerset, beach 1. I applied a water color affect to this. |

This was taken at the butterfly house at Brookfield Zoo. Nick and I spent one VERY hot day there taking pictures and enjoying the animals. The air conditioned houses were the best! |
|
|
This was taken on a sunset horse back ride at South Mountain in Phoenix, AZ. I applied a green filter to the photo. Aunt Pattie was bit in the leg by Gregg's horse at the end of the ride! |

A Japanese Temple in Hawaii. It was very interesting to learn of the many Japanese traditions practiced in Hawaii on this day tour |
|
|
The sunsets in Hawaii were amazing! I took so many sunset pictues - and so many of them turned out real nice. These sunsets topped off the beautiful, peacful days we enjoyed. |

Out on a catamaran for the day, we came upon this sail boat. The picture doesn't really do the tidy bowl blue waters justice!. |
